On the 27th November 2009, the Council of the European Union adopted a resolution on a renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018): http://youth-partnership.coe.int/youth-partnership/news/news_123.html
This new resolution aims at ensuring a youth perspective in the post-2010 Lisbon Strategy. It supports the continuation of earlier initiatives such as the White Paper on Youth and the European Youth Pact and ensures the implementation of the new framework for European cooperation in the youth field for 2010-2018 as proposed by the European Commission in the Communication "An EU strategy for youth – Investing and empowering. A renewed open method of coordination to address youth challenges and opportunities".
