"Adolescents in Europe: deployment of a care policy – an obvious necessity. The Colloquium « Action for Teens» was held at the European Parliament in Brussels on November 15. 2012. The aim of this colloquium was to convince the European decision makers to keep mental health in adolescents as a priority on the political agenda and to stimulate the creation of adapted care facilities

Colloquium “Adolescents in distress: the urgency of a care policy in Europe” was organised by Action for Teens aisbl on November 15th 2012 at the European parliament in Brussels.

The colloquium was organised under the patronage of Mr Joseph Daul (president EPP), Mrs Gabi Zimmer (president GUE/NGL), and Mr Guy Verhofstadt (president ALDE) and in the presence of the Mr Kornelios Korneliou, Ambassador - Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the European Union, on behalf of the Cypriot Presidency of the European Union, and in the presence of the European commission.

The aim of the colloquium was to gather members of the European commission, European parliament and decision makers of the member states of the European Union to inform them on the distress of the adolescents today and to mobilise them to deploy an adapted reception and care policy.
